AI Policy & Model Transparency

Last Updated: February 2025

PermitPilot uses AI features to assist users with drafting and organization. AI is not the source of truth for compliance.

1. What AI Is Used For

AI may be used to:

  • draft listing "fix text" using license numbers you provide
  • generate micro-checklists from deterministic rules and your audit findings
  • draft reminders, cover emails, and response templates
  • summarize your compliance state and recommend next steps

2. What AI Is NOT Used For

AI is not used to:

  • decide whether you are legally compliant
  • invent statutes, requirements, submission targets, license numbers, dates, or approvals
  • guarantee approval, renewal, or acceptance by any jurisdiction

3. Deterministic Engines Are the Source of Truth

PermitPilot's compliance statuses are based on:

  • codified jurisdiction configurations and required documents
  • deterministic rule checks and evidence you provide
  • readiness gates that list missing items explicitly

4. Your Responsibility to Review

AI output must be reviewed before use, especially any text submitted to a government entity or published in a listing.

5. Data Use and Logging

We may log AI requests and outputs for:

  • security
  • debugging and reliability
  • quality improvements

We do not sell your data. See Privacy Policy for details.

6. Model Availability and Change

We may update AI models/providers to improve quality, safety, or cost efficiency. We will maintain safeguards (JSON validation, policy constraints) to reduce errors.
